Types of heating systems
Your home may have one of several types of heating systems.
They can range from blowing hot air through ductwork to piping hot water through your floor:
- Traditional furnace
- Electric heat pump
- Radiant baseboard heat
- Hydronic heat
- Space heater
Hot water (hydronic) heating systems
In a hot water (hydronic) heating systems, water is heated in a gas, oil, or electric boiler and circulated through pipes to convectors.
When the thermostat calls for heat, a "circulator pump" in the boiler return line moves water through the pipes to the convectors,
which give up heat to the rooms. When the circulator is not pumping, a "flow-control valve" stops the water flow to protect the convectors from overheating.
Savings
Today's boiler can give you up to $0.96 worth of heat for every fuel dollar. That's 15 to %20 more that some current heating systems. Big savings with
today's soaring utility bills.

How does Baxi Luna water heating system work
These systems also known as demand water heaters. It does not have a storage tank.
They heat water only when it is needed, avoiding standby heat loss through tank walls and water pipes.
A relatively new tankless technology are typically gas-fired with electronic ignition and power exhaust.
This makes them more efficient than conventional tankless heaters. They can be connected to an external storage tank if necessary.
Baxi Luna HT system has Modulo (extra saver) if you have bigger house (couple separated units with a lot of plumbing fixtures to use hot water)
